Veteran's Information has been developed for members of the military who are coming to know firsthand about the signature wound resulting from service in Iraq and Afghanistan: what the military calls mild traumatic brain injury. Knowledge is Power to a Brain Injured Person

As we pointed out in our book, Brain Injury Survivor's Guide, every brain is different before brain injury. Your memory and cognitive and behavioral skills were unique to you. Likewise, what happened to you after brain injury is unique to you.

Brain injury therapists and support groups can provide much needed help, but problem-specific therapies (strategies) will be developed by family members helping their loved one.

Please read the article about the need to keep and maintain a Brain Injury Journal.
